Things to do at Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort & Spa, Tangalle

Location

Located amidst a 40 acre coconut plantation and hidden on a rocky outcrop along a quiet area of the Southern part of Sri Lanka, the Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort & Spa is found in Tangalle offering beautiful ocean views. The South is easily accessible via the Southern Expressway and Railway but however a 30 minute air taxi transfer is available from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake to Dickwella which is about 10 minutes away from the resort. Taxi services and private chauffer driven vehicles can be organized from the International Airport.

Excursions

Tangalle is a popular tourist destination while it also acts as an exceptional base to explore some of the island’s breathtaking scenery and wildlife in the South. Excursions can be organized to explore the historic city of Galle where you can walk through Galle Fort and its interiors. Other activities and excursions that can be enjoyed include a Yala National Park 4×4 safari, Uda Walawe Elephant Sanctuary tour, whale and dolphin watching boat trips off Mirissa (from December to April), a trip to the Rekawa Turtle Conservation Project, the Mulkirigala Rock Temple, the Bundala National Park and the Handunugoda Tea Plantation.
